Beginner Specific Step By Step MMA
Start with beginners just like you, in our BJJ programme, this will give you the foundation of the grappling art. Taking you through a structured curriculum until you pass our foundations review to move Onceon the next step.
After passing the grappling foundations programme (approx 4 months), you’ll move to our striking programme of Thai Boxing.
After passing our review in Thai Boxing you’ll thne move onto our wrestling for MMA sessions and sparring sessions for BJJ and Thai Boxing.
A Step By Step Solution To Getting Started In MMA
What is mixed martial arts?
MMA is a combination of martial arts, here at Icon Norwich we focus on 3 Objective measures.
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
If you’re brand new, our MMA proagramme will start you here, before moving on and trying to learn everything all in one go! BJJ is the core of our MMA system, so you’ll spend the first 3 + months developing your ground grappling skills.
YOU WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!
You’ll tone and train your entire body while learning how to creatively combine some of the world’s most effective fighting techniques into one discipline that you can use in the ring – or in self-defense.
Step 2 - Striking
Once you’re comfortable with your ground skills, (approx 3 months) We introduce you to our striking session for MMA.
This is Martial Art No.2
THAI BOXING
Get familiar with the system (approx 3 months) before moving on to the Next Step.
Step 3 - Wrestling & No Gi Grappling
When confident with your Grappling and striking it’s time to connect them, with our next step
Wrestling!
Learn to take down your opponent and stop them from slamming you.
This 3rd step in the MMA programme completes the trio of MMA. Spend anothe r3 months (approx) here before the final step!
